Care in the Community – Painting My Local Neighbourhood
Good signs help build good businesses. Good businesses help build strong communities. When both come together, they create a town that doesn’t just look loved, but feels loved.
There’s something special about walking through a town and seeing shopfronts that feel lived in—businesses built with heart, not just hustle.
Places with pride. Full of character.
That’s what I’m out to build more of in my local area.
Since picking up a brush and stepping away from the screen, I’ve made it my mission to help local businesses in Frome (and beyond) show the world who they are—loud and clear, and full of personality.
Millie Moon – Frome’s Handmade Haven
Millie Moon is one of those places that instantly sparks joy. Sitting pretty on Catherine Hill, it’s a creative hub full of colour, fabric and imagination. The brief was simple—create an A-board that felt as handmade as the crafts sold inside.
I designed and painted a board that looks stitched together with care. Nothing too polished. Nothing off-the-shelf. Just a sign that mirrors the soul of the shop. It’s now out front catching eyes and telling stories—before a single word is spoken.
Victoria Park Community Café – A Space to Call Your Own
This café isn’t just somewhere to grab a coffee. It’s a proper community space—where everyone feels welcome, and nobody feels rushed. The challenge here was creating signage that felt as warm and open as the people running it.
I painted two signs that aren’t just functional—they’re full of feeling. Every brushstroke says “you belong here.” Because a café built for the community deserves signs that feel like home. It’s more than a name on the wall—it’s an invitation.
Firefly Property – Signage with Purpose
Since moving in, Firefly operated without a sign. Imagine that. A buzzing business on Bath Street with no way for people to know what they did or where they were. That all changed with a little paint and a lot of intention.
I created a bold yet understated sign that gives clarity and confidence. Something the team could be proud of. It’s given them presence on the street and pride in the work they do. Now, their space finally reflects the energy inside.
I Dress Myself – Identity Refreshed
This one was all about bringing something back to life. I Dress Myself already had a strong identity—they just needed it to shine again. Their building sits on Vallis Mills Trading Estate, and their logo needed some love to match the quality of work happening inside.
I gave their sign a full refresh, carefully repainting their branding to breathe new life into it. Now, their frontage feels just as bold and progressive as the business behind it. It’s a reminder of how a bit of paint can reawaken a place.
MY MISSION
I believe in giving local businesses a voice. Something their owners can point to and say, “That’s ours.” I want our high streets to feel alive again—with bold signs, beautiful brands, and stories written in paint. Because when we take pride in where we are, we build a stronger sense of who we are.
If you’re a local business who wants to stand out for the right reasons, Drop me a message and let’s make something you’ll be proud of.
Good Signs, Good Times.
